Tony is Bank of Ireland’s U.S. Country Manager; he joined the bank in 2011 after moving to New York. Bank of Ireland operates a corporate banking and markets and treasury business in the U.S. through its branch in Stamford, C.T, and representative offices in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Its NYC Innovation Lab supports the bank’s customers as they seek to grow their business, as well as providing an event space for the Irish-American community. As Country manager, Tony has overall responsibility for all of the group activities in the U.S. and also holds the position of the U.S. branch’s chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin, is a qualified accountant (FCCA) and CFA charter holder, with over 20 years’ experience of working in the financial services industry. He is on the board and executive committee of the Institute of International Bankers, was one of the co-founders of U.S. Friends of Munster Youth Rugby and is on the U.S. advisory board of Barretstown. Tony lives in Manhattan with his wife Andrea and their two young children.
