Robert MacGoey
Robert MacGoey joined Apollo Global Management in 2017 as the chief accounting officer and controller and is responsible for a variety of key areas within the finance function. Prior to joining Apollo, Rob was a partner in PwC’s financial services deals practice, providing a broad range of M&A-related services to private equity and corporate clients. Prior to that, he was a partner in PwC’s banking and capital markets assurance practice, serving some of the largest global banks.
Rob moved to New York in 2002. He graduated from the Waterford Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Business Studies in accounting and received his master’s in accounting from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and is a certified public accountant in New York.
Rob previously served three terms as chairman of the American Ireland Fund’s Young Leaders in New York and is a member of the board of advisors for Self Help Africa U.S.A.
