Phil Gaughran is Global President of Creative Product, Growth & Strategy at dentsu, a 70,000-person global advertising network. Phil ensures that dentsu’s creative brands – Dentsu Creative and Tag – are built to bring the best marketing services and insights to clients across myriad industries (dentsu’s current client roster includes American Express, Subway, GM, T-Mobile, Adobe, Lowe’s, 7Eleven and many more).
In a fast-changing industry, it’s Phil’s job to make sure that the capabilities, talent and technology that dentsu offers are best-in-class and built to tackle the challenges CEOs and CMOs face around the world. That includes Gen AI, where Phil has become a leading voice in the industry.
Phil has over 24 years of experience proving to clients how creativity can be an engine for growth. Born and raised in Shannon, Co. Clare, to parents both from Limerick, Phil earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Limerick. He splits his time between New York City and his home in the Catskills, where he lives with his wife, Alison.
