Noreen Doyle
Hudson River Park Trust
As President & CEO of the Hudson River Park Trust, Noreen Doyle oversees the development, management, and programming of a beloved urban park that stretches along four miles of Manhattan’s west side and that attracts an estimated 17 million annual visits. Under Noreen’s leadership, the Trust has completed the construction of nearly 10 acres of new public open space, delivered high-impact environmental educational programming to 30,000 children and adults each year, and completed two large habitat enhancement projects that have reintroduced 35 million oysters to the Hudson River. Throughout her tenure at the Trust, she has championed direct access to the Hudson River, working with local communities and organizational partners to expand water programming and environmental research.
Previously, Noreen was a Vice President at AKRF, Inc., a leading environmental and planning consultant, where she helped manage projects like the Second Avenue Subway. She has a BA from Smith College and completed her coursework towards a doctorate in Comparative Literature from New York University. Her mother came to the U.S. from Kilcar, County Donegal, and she is fortunate that many family members still live there. Her Irish-American father hails from the Bronx.
