Kevin Phelan is Co-Chairman at Colliers’ Boston office, a full-service commercial real estate firm providing Brokerage, Development and Consulting Services, Valuation and Advisory Services, Capital Markets, and Real Estate Management Services to a broad range of clients. Kevin joined the firm in 1978 to create the Capital Markets group, which is now one of the two largest in the region. He was appointed president in 2007 and then co-chairman in 2010. Throughout his career, he has been involved in several billion dollars in financings across the U.S., representing all property types.
Kevin has both a bachelor’s degree and an honorary degree from Providence College and enjoys a master’s degree from Boston College.
Kevin has had leadership roles on numerous boards and committees for organizations such as Providence College, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Archdiocese of Boston, Boston Municipal Research Bureau, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, The Clover Club, Crossroads, and Catholic Charities.
Kevin, who traces his Irish ancestors to Sligo, was the recipient of The Counselors of Real Estate® James Landauer/John White Award in 2016, and in 2018 he received the Crossroads Change Everything Award. Boston Magazine has also acknowledged Kevin as one of “Boston’s 100 Most Powerful People” (2000, 2001, 2023).
