Jennifer Muldowney is a journalist, author, speaker, and positive advocate for the funeral profession.

Jennifer is an expert Modern Memorial Planner and Chief Celebrant (Master of Ceremonies). In 2010, she created Farewell Funeral Planners in Ireland, which later evolved into Muldowney Memorials, now based in Florida and New York City. In 2016, Jennifer wowed on stage in her thought-provoking TEDx Talk, Grief: As Unique as Your Heartbeat. She has become the house facilitator of the New York State Funeral Directors Association Annual Remembrance Service, officiating for the last four years.

Jennifer’s media moniker, The Glam Reaper, given to her by the British Media, conveys just how much she has done to change the stereotypical view of the funeral world as dark and antiquated. She hosts The Glam Reaper Podcast and Blog, contributing regularly to media discussions on funerals and memorial planning. Jennifer is dedicated to mental health, both in grief and in the funeral profession, as an advisor to the Board of Funeral Professionals Peer Support (FPPS). Born in Dublin, Jennifer graduated from Dublin City University with a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. She is currently working on her fourth book. Her first book – Say Farewell Your Way was released in 2013.
