Helen Doody is the Head of Abbey Captial (U.S.) LLC and an Abbey Capital (U.S.) board director.

She and her team are responsible for business development and client services in North America, working with many of the largest private banks, institutions, and pension consultants.

Born in Dublin to parents John and Clare McDonald, Helen has five siblings. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Dublin City University with a Certificate in Investment Management. 

Helen moved to the U.S. with her husband, Derek Doody, in 2006. They have three sons, Gavin, JJ, and Christian, and live in Connecticut. Helen is on the North American advisory board for The Michael Smurfit Business School at UCD. Helen also volunteers in her children’s school, coached her son’s basketball team the last two years, and helps out with various charitable causes.
