Gerry McGinley
Gerry McGinley has worked with high-net-worth clients for nearly 30 years to help them manage their wealth and achieve their goals.
As Managing Director with UBS, Gerry, working with an integrated team of professionals, draws upon the firm’s global resources and his many years of experience to help clients address their banking, investing, trust and estate, lending and philanthropic needs and goals. Throughout his career, Gerry has earned firm recognition and Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor designations many times.
Gerry joined UBS in 2015 after more than 20 years with Credit Suisse Private Banking, where he led a team that advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and not-for-profit organizations. Gerry began his financial career as an equity trader and previously taught high school history.
He earned an M.B.A. from Kellogg/Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics from Hobart College. Gerry completed the prestigious Hawaii Ironman triathlon. He also has served as a trustee of Camp Tecumseh in Center Harbor, NH. Gerry lives in Westport, CT and San Diego with his wife and three children.
Every year, Gerry travels to Ireland with his brothers for a golf trip, which has become an important family tradition. The trips have facilitated a strong connection with the family’s Irish ancestry, and in addition to golf, the brothers have enjoyed furthering their knowledge of Irish culture and history.
