Elizabeth Marie Clark is a partner of Emmet, Marvin & Martin, LLP, the oldest continuously operating law firm in the United States, founded in 1805 by Thomas Addis Emmet, the renowned Irish patriot, and brother of Robert Emmet. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Firm and is the Chair of the Firm’s Corporate Trust Department.
For over thirty years, Elizabeth has been representing major financial institutions acting as indenture trustee, in agency capacities and as lenders in corporate and municipal financings involving secured and unsecured debt, project finance transactions, securitizations, and syndicated loan transactions. She also regularly counsels clients in workout, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters.
A proud third-generation Irish American, Elizabeth’s grandparents emigrated from County Kerry and County Leitrim to New York City. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and received her Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. She and her husband, Davin, reside in Chatham, New Jersey, and have three children.
