Donald P. Keough
Following his retirement as president, COO and director of the Coca-Cola Company in 1993, Donald Keough became chairman of the board of
Allen & Company Incorporated, a New York investment banking firm.
In 2004, Coca-Cola re-elected Donald to the post of director, making a change in its retirement policy. Donald has been a crucial member of the company since 1950. He also serves on the boards of IAC/InterActive Corp., Global Yankee Holdings, Convera Corporation, and Berkshire Hathaway, Inc.
Donald has received honorary doctorates from the University of Notre Dame, his alma mater Creighton University, Emory University, Trinity College, Dublin, University College Dublin, and Clarke University. Notre Dame’s highest honor, the Laetare Medal, was presented to Donald in 1993. In 1995, he established the Keough Institute of Irish Studies at Notre Dame. He was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2002, and inducted into the Junior Achievement National Business Hall of Fame in 2003.
