Deirdre O’Connor
Deirdre is the Chief Financial Officer for Cerberus with oversight of the Firm’s global financial infrastructure. Prior to joining Cerberus in 2023, Ms. O’Connor was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of BlackRock’s Alternative Investment Funds. An accomplished finance leader, Deirdre has also served throughout her career in various senior positions at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Sculptor Capital Management.
She is currently the Co-Chair of the NICSA Diversity Project North America for the Asset Management Industry and previously served on multiple industry boards including as the International Advisor to the Irish Financial Services Strategic Advisory Group and the Irish Financial Services Industry Advisory Committee. Deirdre also served on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Women’s Bond Club, Concern USA, and the Irish Repertory Theater.
A graduate of Munster Technological University Deirdre is a Chartered Management Accountant with CIMA and GCMA.
Born in Cobh, County Cork, Deirdre lives in New York City with her husband, Feargal, and their three children, Cliona, Colin, and Ava. She is “extremely proud of her Irish heritage” and calls it “the foundation upon which I approach life and work.”
