David J. Wash is president and CEO of the Amalgamated Family of Companies and is the CEO of Alico Services Corporation. David significantly restructured and improved Amalgamated, its national recognition and reach and first class customer service.

Born and raised in an Irish enclave in Iowa, he holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, master’s degrees from both Alaska Pacific University and Cornell University, and a B.A. from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He is the Chairman-Elect of the Life Insurance Council of New York and is on the boards of the Insurance Federation of New York, the Sidney Hillman Foundation and the College of Mount St. Vincent and Iona Prep. He is also a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and the Northern Ireland Children’s Exchange.
