David is President and CEO of Liberty Bank of Middletown, Connecticut, and a member of the Board of Directors and President & CEO of the Liberty Bank Foundation. With $8 billion in assets, Liberty is the oldest (Established 1825) and largest independent mutual bank in the United States, a Top Workplace for 13 Consecutive Years, and Best-in-State Bank in Connecticut by Forbes magazine. Previously, David was Regional President with TD Bank for Northern New England and Upstate New York.
His family is devoted to fundraising and volunteerism with the American Cancer Society. David is chairman of their Southern and Western New England area board and received their highest volunteer awards: St. George National Award and Omar T. Pace M.D. Recognition Award.
David’s accolades include the 2020 Holyoke St. Patrick’s Committee JFK National Award; 2021 National Conference for Community & Justice’s Human Relations Award; 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award from Boy Scouts of America; Middlesex United Way’s 2022 Tocqueville Society Philanthropy Award; and the 2022 Civic and Community Engagement Award by the NAACP. A graduate of Providence College, David’s great-grandparents hail from Belmullet, County Mayo.
