Colum Lane is Vice President of Treasury at Pfizer, overseeing global risk management, pensions, and digital finance initiatives. With over three decades in finance, Colum is known for his steady leadership, decisiveness, and dedication to talent development.
Colum was raised in Dublin with family roots in Kerry, Cork, and Roscommon. His parents, Tim and Helen, met at Aer Lingus and instilled in him the values of integrity, kindness, and a commitment to learning. Each child pursued impactful careers: Colum’s late brother, Mark, was a journalist with RTÉ; his brother Philip is the Chief Economist at the European Central Bank; and his sister Cloda is a professor of economics at Imperial College London.
Colum has been with Pfizer for 20 years, including 15 at the company’s headquarters in Manhattan. While in New York, he met his wife, Elaine, and they welcomed their son, Ronan, in 2018. In 2023, they chose to base themselves in Ireland, balancing family values with a global outlook. Drawing from personal experience, Colum advocates for neurodiversity as an executive sponsor of Pfizer’s Neurodiversity Colleague Community Group.
