Ciaran T. O’Kelly
Ciaran T. O’Kelly is Head of Equity Capital Markets at Bank of America. He joined Bank of America as part of a management team hired in 2002 with a mandate to create a top-tier equities business. Until June of this year, he ran the firm’s equity trading, sales trading and risk arbitrage departments. O’Kelly is currently focused on building the firm’s capabilities in raising equity capital for corporations through IPOs, follow-ons, private placements and convertible bonds. He is also a member of the Bank of America Corporation (BAC) operating committee. In 2005, BAC was ranked the third most profitable U.S. company, with earnings of $16.4 billion.
Born in Dublin, O’Kelly graduated with a bachelor’s of business studies from Dublin City University in 1989. He began his Wall Street career in 1990 at Lasser Marshall Inc., a New York-based inter-bank foreign exchange dealing firm. Before joining BAC, O’Kelly was head of equity trading at Citigroup.
He is a member of NYU’s Glucksman Ireland House and the American Ireland Fund. He has served on the chairman’s committee for the annual AIF New York gala dinner for the last six years. He lives in Manhattan with his wife Lisa and their three sons.
