Walker & Dunlop

Carol McNerney, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Walker & Dunlop, oversees all aspects of Marketing and External Communications. Carol has more than 30 years of global marketing experience, spanning various industries, including commercial real estate (CRE), technology, and financial services.

Carol earned her BA in International Relations and French from the University of Virginia and her MBA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Outside of her professional accomplishments, she is also a Chairwoman of the Kelly O’Hara Scholarship at the University of Virginia. Carol is a competitive USTA tennis player and has completed nine marathons. Carol, her husband, and two sons, Finnegan and Dermot, live in Larchmont, NY.

Carol’s maternal great-grandmother was from County Cork, and her great-grandfather was from Donegal. Her paternal great-grandmother was from Kilkenny. She is also married to a first-generation Irish American (Dermot Kearns), an FDNY Captain whose parents are from County Mayo and Galway City.
