Brendan J. Sullivan is a third-generation funeral director for his family’s funeral home, Farley-Sullivan Funeral Homes. The funeral home has been family-owned and operated for over 80 years, with locations in Wethersfield and Glastonbury, CT.
Brendan graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Brendan also serves as a firefighter for the Glastonbury Fire Department. He is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 2 Hartford, the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, the Irish American Home Society, and a player for the Irish Wolfhounds, which is the first All-Irish baseball team and includes players who are citizens of Ireland.
The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home was named the top family-owned business in the State of Connecticut by the Hartford Business Journal in 2017. Brendan was named to the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty Class of 2018 and to the Irish Echo Forty Under 40 Class of 2021. Brendan was named a 2022 Parade Marshal for the 50th annual Hartford Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
Brendan traces his family roots to Sneem, County Kerry, Adrigole County Cork, Killanena, County Clare, and Athlone County Roscommon.
