Bernard Reidy
Bernard E. Reidy is a managing director and the National Endowment and Foundation Executive at Bank of America Private Bank. Bernard is responsible for delivering the firm’s overall strategy and outreach to institutional and charitable organizations throughout the United States. He oversees a team of Endowment and Foundation Specialists – enterprise-wide – who work in concert to develop customized initiatives in OCIO, investment management, administration, governance, and organizational development.
With more than 25 years of experience in the institutional-investment sector, Bernard is skilled in anticipating the unique needs of endowments and foundations and directing firm-wide programs to address those priorities. Previously, he served as Head of Endowment and Foundation Sales at Commonfund. He began his career in 1993 at Allied Irish Bank after earning his BS in Finance from Stonehill College.
Very proud of his Irish heritage, Bernard traces his family’s roots to Ennis in County Clare. He serves as a Trustee of the New York St. Patrick’s Day Foundation, Foundations in Education for the Diocese of Bridgeport, where he also chairs the Bishop Scholarship Committee and Immaculate High School in Danbury, CT. He and his wife, Maureen, live in Connecticut with their two children, Siobhán and Seamus.
