Barry Walsh
Barry Sean Walsh is a Vice President at Mizuho, covering fixed-income securities as Product Controller. With over 16 years of experience in Financial Controls and Accounting, Barry is the controller of a $16 billion dollar balance sheet, supporting the Securitized Products and Credit Trading businesses.
Prior to his tenure at Mizuho, Barry held several roles at Jefferies, working in their Finance division covering financial reporting for Global Equities, Investment Banking, and Fixed Income.
Born in The Bronx to parents from Dublin, Barry graduated from Iona University in 2008, and is currently enrolled in St. John’s University, working towards a master’s degree in Accounting. Barry has been active in the New York Irish community throughout his life, playing Gaelic football for Rockland GAA and currently as a founding member of The Narrowbacks. He currently resides in New York with his wife, Eileen, and son, Jack.
