Al Kelly is the Chairman and CEO of Visa. Prior to joining Visa in October 2016, he was CEO of Intersection after serving as the Chair of Pope Francis’ visit to NYC. From 2011 to 2014 he was CEO of the 2014 Super Bowl Host Company. He worked at American Express for 23 years including as President from July 2007 to April 2010. He was the head of information systems at the White House from 1985 to 1987 and held various positions at PepsiCo Inc. from 1981 to 1985. Kelly currently serves on the board of directors of Visa, the Business Roundtable (BRT), Catalyst and several entities in the Archdiocese of NY and is a guardian for the Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican. He is Chairman of the Payments Leader-ship Council and the BRT Technology Committee, Chairman of the Board of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation and is a Trustee of New York Presbyterian Hospital and Boston College. In 2015, Kelly was named a Knight in the Order of Saint Gregory the Great, by Pope Francis. Kelly holds a BA and MBA from Iona College. He is second-generation Irish American with roots in Cork.
