Michael Dowling, president and CEO of Northwell Health in New York, presented an Irish American Partnership grant of $10,000 to Ahalin National School in Knockaderry, County Limerick, during his June 26 visit to the school. The grant will establish a musical instrument loan scheme at Ahalin, promoting Irish arts and culture at a formative age.
Dowling attributes his accomplishments to the wonderful education he had as a child in Limerick and later at University College Cork: “Education, for me, has been the key to whatever success I have had.” ♦
