Patrick Dwyer
Pat joined Merrill Lynch in 1993 after receiving his M.B.A. from the University of Miami, and clients have been able to reach him at the same telephone number for more than 23 years. His first year at the firm was spent in the Merrill Lynch M.B.A. Analyst Program at company headquarters. After his training was complete, Pat moved back to Miami to begin his career as a financial advisor. In 1999, he became one of the first advisors to join a new division established to serve the needs of ultra-high-net-worth families, the Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch.
Pat was named number five on Forbes’ list of America’s Top Wealth Advisors for 2017, and he has been recognized by Barron’s as one of America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors from 2007 through 2017. He has also been recognized by the Financial Times in its Top 400 Advisors List in 2016, ranked in WealthManagement magazine’s “Top 100 Wirehouse Advisors” from 2010 through 2016 – and quoted in Fortune, Barron’s, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal and other financial publications. He is a regular guest speaker at Providence College in Rhode Island, where he received his bachelor’s degree, as well as the University of Miami. He is the chairman of the Key Biscayne Community Foundation and on the board of trustees at the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, the Telluride Science Research Center, and the Neuroscience Centers of Florida Foundation. He resides in Key Biscayne, Florida, with his wife, Marisa, and four children. His hobbies include paddle-boarding, hiking, and cooking with his children.
