1916-2016: Proclaiming the American Story, a five-month exhibition housed at the Irish Consulate in New York and supported by the Irish Government, was opened in September by Charles Flanagan, Minster of Foreign Affairs.
During the run there were activities such as the event produced by the Origin’s 1st Irish Festival: In Conversation at the Consulate that featured a group of leading historians and writers who revealed the American story behind Ireland’s Easter Rising. That event featured members of the New York Irish History Roundable and was moderated by journalist, author and historian Terry Golway and historian Miriam Nyhan.
