Hibernia: Tom’s Still Tops

Top 100 2000 honoree Tom Foley, the New York City firefighter thrust into the spotlight last year for his daring rescue of two construction workers, is in the spotlight again. Now People magazine have named him one of America’s 100 Most Eligible Bachelors. He’s no stranger to the pages of People magazine; they have also featured him as one of the sexiest men at work. We tried to snag People’s steamy photos of Tom, but they’re embargoed for three months, so here he is at our Top 100 awards ceremony at the Plaza Hotel this past March. Other Irish American bachelors included in People‘s list are George Clooney, Derek Jeter, Ed Burns, Conan O’Brien, and Mark McGwire.
